Quebec International Airshow Daily Report 1. 06/12/2008

Quebec International Airshow 2008 - Daily report - June 12th, 2008.

Four International aerobatics team have been rehearsing at Jean Lesage International Airport since Monday. Having landed to Jean Lesage in a Jazz Airlines Dash 8 at 13-00 PM today, I could attend an extended rehearsal performed by The USAF Thunderbirds between 15-00 and 16-00 PM.
Under a gorgeous weather the USAF boys performed the best display I ever witnessed from that Team, as they could overfly the edge of the airport, and cross each other in every direction. As their show was really restricted in Europe - and annoying aviation enthusiasts in Fairford last year - everyone will understand now that only in North America do the Thunderbirds fly a
real and noisy display.

Patrouille de France will not join the airshow, as the french gorvernment sent it somewhere else (...) next weekend. Really it is a mistake from the french administration, as tomorrow all teams are scheduled to overfly the Newfoundland french speaking city, to celebrate 400 years of history - and links with France ? As a result only the british and american historical links to Canada will be represented in Quebec's sky.
