Back from a CF-18 Hornet flight with the Royal Canadian Air Force Retour d'un vol en CF-18 avec la Royal Canadian Air Force
These four photographs back from the flight were shot by Caporal Pierre Habib - 3ème Escadre Bagotville. Having flown formation in a CF-18 B along with the CF-18 A Hornet Demo Team arcraft over Vancouver Island, spectaclular pictures are now ready for a future book. I would like once more to thank everybody in the RCAF who made all this possible.
The Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornet Demonstration Team performed at a few airshows in Latin America. They flew for the 60th anniversary of the Escuadrilla da Fumaça at Pirassununga on May 12th and 13th, in Brazil. Then they performed in an air show in Kingston, Jamaica for the 50th Anniversary of the Jamaican Defence Force on May 23rd. A few days before they started their tour in the South, I had the opportunity to fly with them at Comox AFB near Vancouver. More about that soon, but have a look to the CF-18 demo website featuring one of my pictures along the mountains above Vancouver Island. Camera used was Nikon D3 with the AFS 24 - 70 mm lens :
Capitaine Patrick Gobeil is 2012 CF-18 Demo Team Pilot. But full success must be also be dedicated to full teamwork.
